FAQs Answered
Why should I join?
Your membership drives change at grassroots charities and organizations that impact children and families.
When you become an annual member of Car Club Kids, you will gain access to exclusive merchandise, resources, promotions and connections within the automotive community.
Is this legit?
I’m a real person with a real dream. I am a father, husband and pretty ordinary guy.
You can learn more about me at my LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dennismichael/
I also hang out at car shows, meets and events in the Edmonton, Alberta area, where I call home.
How much does it cost?
A yearly membership to Car Club Kids costs $199 CAD per year forever. This price will never increase.
Existing members will get the first right of refusal to renew their membership before new member enrollment begins.
Why are you capping memberships each year?
I want to maintain control over the growth of this club. I have seen countless businesses that grow too quickly, end up crashing and burning as fast as their rise to success. Controlling the member count each year allows me to learn, adapt and change quickly.
I want to make sure that each member is happy and getting what they expect each year without any catastrophes. Maintaining the best customer service and experience is most important to me. I don’t want to fuck it up for the CCK Members.
I don't want to be a member. How do I show my support?
Non-members will have access to buy merchandise as well. Our public shop will have items for sale with 50% of the proceeds going back to charity – forever. Public shop will be available in the future. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when it becomes live.
What's a Careholder?
The first 150 Members of Car Club Kids will become CCK Careholders, who will help shape the future of CCK with me. Each person’s name will be showcased on this website forever as a lifetime of gratitude.
What are the Faithful 500?
The first 500 members of Car Club Kids will become the Faithful 500. Reaching my first 500 customers is an achievement and a milestone to be celebrated. I want to distinguish this group of people as a reminder of how important they are to everyone we help and to CCK. Their names will be proudly displayed on the website below the Careholders as a lasting legacy.
Why share the roadmap?
If you have a dream and keep it to yourself, how can you let people help you? I would love to have a legion of supporters in this journey to 500K and beyond. I want you all to know how much this club is going to donate every year, no matter what. It’s my promise to you.
What charities do you support?
Car Club Kids will support charities, organizations and initiatives focusing on mental health. Each year, we will select specific charities based on their programs and their impact on their communities.
If you have a charity we should consider, please let us know.
My story
I never knew I had mental health problems until I almost took my life in my Twenties.
Looking back, I can see how these symptoms compounded to a point where I wanted the suffering to stop. I recognize now that my issues with anxiety and depression began in my teenage years. It was horrible having to deal with it all, alone.
To this day, I still cannot explain why I stopped myself from committing suicide. I also cannot explain how medical help came into my life. It still feels surreal.
When I first got medical help, I thought I was cured. But I was naive. I learned that this was only a band-aid solution. I needed to do more.
It Will Never go away, But now it’s controllable.
My anxiety and depression would come back again in my 30s and 40s, making it unbearable to cope with. But things were different now. I had a wife and children in my life who needed me. I knew that suicide was not the answer because the irreparable damage I would cause to my family would only continue the cycle of mental health problems in my children and my wife. So, I got help again. But this time I knew I had to do more.
I got help, SO can you.
I got medication from my doctor, and I found an amazing psychologist. These tools helped me unpack boxes in my life I never knew existed. Their help has made me healthier. The tools I was able to access have removed my mental fog, helping me be more self-aware and to give me space to create a positive mindset. I would never have been able to accomplish this without the help of resources, medication and a psychologist.
I am very grateful to have a medical system and the support available to me that has helped in fixing my mental health problems.
But there are millions of people across the world who are not so lucky.
They continue to struggle with their own mental health or have become victims of others who suffer from mental health problems.
This needs to stop.
Humanity is unknowingly suffering, and I want to drive change that helps people heal their minds.
You see, I truly believe that when people can easily access and knowingly utilize medical help and community support for their mental health problems, they will become better humans. They will become healthier, more self-aware and, most importantly, kinder to their fellow human beings.
I am living proof of this.
Let’s Help Heal the World.
Healing our mental health problems will not only make us healthier human beings but also help make our planet healthier.
I want everyone to have easy access to resources, medical professionals and communities so that they can heal and create their own journey toward a healthier life.
Connecting My Passions.
Car Club Kids was created because I love the automotive industry and am passionate about mental health. When I was suffering alone, I could turn to my car models, drawing cars, car magazines, car clubs, car forums and TV shows to distract me from dark thoughts. The car industry is my happy place.
Leveraging my happy place to help people worldwide with their mental health problems is a unique combination that makes sense to me—and I hope it makes sense to you, too.
